If you walk around PFT or EJ Ourso you might think LSU doesn't have any black students in attendance.

As someone who had classes in both of these buildings over the last 3-4 years, you are spot on…. Screw all of these dumbass liberal arts degrees with no ROI.

Getting in??? That person is defiantly getting in to LSU. It would be automatic.

I dislike the removal of standards as admissions, but these two are too far apart. Move B up to a 3.0 GPA and a 24 on the act. Now it’s a debate.

Make that move and they both get in easily. LSU accepts more than 75% of applicants. It isn't that hard to get into and with more than 34,000 students, there will never be a one student versus another student admissions issue.

The color of the money is primary consideration to LSU.

CEBA was the new-ish building when I was a student.

Where is the new Engineering Building?

You need a 19 in the ACT to get into LSU - coming from a public school

Also, the ACT was waived for entrance for Fall 2021.

My kid will be a freshman this fall, white male and he got a full ride plus

Now that being said I have huge concerns but too good to pass up.

35 and a 4.37.

Looked out of state but still would have cost a good bit

This is the scenario that Alexander wanted to address with "holistic" (read: discriminatory) admissions.

Of course - there’s a whole organization that sends kids to Ivy League schools if your the first generation in your family to go to college.

what?

It's true. In state kids get TOPS at LSU and that's about it. My niece made a 35 on the ACT and I'm pretty sure she had a 4.0 and went out of state to an SEC school because of much better scholarship offers. I know another kid that made a 36 on the ACT and has a 4.0 from Lafayette who is going to Bama next year because he got a full ride, but could not get that from LSU.

It's on the corner of South Quad Drive and Engineering Lane. Right next to the EJ Ourso business college.

Here is a YouTube link to a video tour of the new facility

Are you impotent or just chose not to have kids?

The "new engineering building" is the renovated CEBA

You would not even recognize it today. It's incredible what they did with that turd

MASSIVE upgrade from CEBA.

If you think your kid won’t get into LSU with a 3.5 gpa and 28 ACT, you’re delusional.

what?

My daughter had a free ride to Mississippi State, but LSU has what she wants to study, so she’s going there instead

Plenty of other schools were very generous as well but she didn’t want to go far
