re: Which side are you on- Nurse or Dominos Pizza?

The business shouldn't have taken the order if they didn't have people that would deliver them like they were supposed to
The nurse's bitch friend is attention whoring big time. A simple call would've netted them a few free pizzas and the writer getting reprimanded

Sucks that Dominos will get the bad publicity for what is ultimately just a lazy employee.
I'm sure the Dominos company, as a whole, will be greatly affected by some dumb broad in Paris, TX that orders a $6 pasta.

How is that lazy? They did what the dumb bitch asked them to do, they brought her precious pizza. They just wrote a polite note reminding her what common courtesy is. frick her for sharing it on Facebook attempting to get free shite.

Dominos could just do like most bars do and move their clocks 15 minutes fast.
"Sorry, it's 10:09 pm in the store..we closed at 10pm."
I had to laugh my arse off the first time I heard this one. I don't even remember where it was, but I remember pulling up to a fast food place's drive thru. They came on the intercom and said we are closed, I commented that it was only 9:47 and they don't close until 10. She told me that their store clocks said 10:00 and they had to go by the store clocks.

And it worked, didn't it? You went on your way to somewhere else.

When I worked at Domino's back in college we closed at midnight, but that was for walkins. We stopped delivering at 1130 so that the drivers could get back to help close store down

This is true, but I am not a sensitive guy. I do hate it for the store managers though who actually care. Unfortunately, many people try to get away with as little as they can.

I'll let you in on a secret, none of them care.

1) the note wasn't rude
Doesn't matter. Don't right a fricking note. Just do your job and go home. Your only job is literally to bring pizza to hungry people who pay you money to do so. Is that such a hard concept to grasp?
quote:
2) it is rude to put a large order in right before closing time. Anyone who ever worked in the service injury at any time in their life would know that.
You have to fricking kidding me. Rude? Rude to pay for the only service that Domino's exists to offer? If you work in the service industry and aren't prepared to work until closing time, get another job. That would be like me telling my boss "now of course I won't do any work the last 15 minutes or so of the work day, how dare you expect me to do what you pay me for?"
quote:
3) the nurses seem entitled stating that they "deserve" free pizza
I honestly don't give a shite about this. If the Domino's employee hadn't written a note complaining about doing his job then this would be a non story.

Gonna side with the Nurse on this one.. If your open till 11 that mean your servicing customers until that time. It's not like they shut that shite down right at 11 and walk out..
Management should also fire all those low rent bitches and find someone willing to earn a check.

How can anyone be on dominos side? Do y'all understand what open means?
So should the pizza have been pulled from the oven at 12:00?
I think both are in the wrong here, but isn't it pretty much common knowledge that a pizza delivery order is going to be 30-45 minutes?! Meaning when the order was placed common knowledge would be that the nurse was requiring the business to remain open for more than a half hour extra. Whoever on Domino's side that wrote the note should be written up and the issue shouldn't happen. Even if you are courteous about it you never make the customer feel like you are another human being. They paid money to the company therefor they own you and your time. Do something that makes them feel bad and they will attempt to recoup enough free stuff and attention to justify that they are right and you as their slave should be beaten at the stocks of social media.

You made a pretty detailed and impassioned post about it. I actually think you care quite a bit about it.
The pizza dudes were wrong. The snowflake who attention whored about something this stupid turned out to be far worse than the pizza dudes. To sum it up, I hope the pizza dudes get anal warts and then pass them on to the nurses via free wart-infected pizzas.

Pretty obvious a bitchy woman wrote that note.
Guarantee she is not hot, single, and drives a crappy car.

Pizza people need to realize even though it sucks, you have to work until you close
Couldn't agree more. People that are labeling it as "inconsiderate" are ridiculous. If you intentionally wait until closing time, sure, you may have a point, but that isn't the case most of the time.
My wife and I were leaving the hospital after visiting a friend and we needed to pick up something to eat, so I drove up to a Popeyes around 9:20. They close at 9:30. Anyway, the car in front of me placed an order and drove up to the window so I moved up to place my order at like 9:22. I sat there for a few minutes and spoke into the microphone to see if anyone was available. After about 3 minutes they shut the lights off to the menu, so I drove up to the window hoping it was a mistake and they could take an order through the window, and this woman just keeps the window closed and will not even acknowledge me.
Now look, if you want to stop making food and shite, that is fine, and then you can tell me you're out of chicken and biscuits and sides and everything else, but have the fricking common courtesy to acknowledge me when I drive up to the menu or the window. I you're open until a certain time, honor that time. Probably the most upset I've ever been in a situation where food was involved.

Please help in this matter Share Share Share!! On March 30 2016 the nurses at Paris Regional Hospital ordered a pizza, and this was the response they received from Domino's Pizza in Paris Texas. Nurses work long hours and eat when they can as they take care of our loved one. A business is open until they close and are in business to service the public. Domino's Pizza the nurses on 5 east deserve an apology, and I am sure as much pizza as you can deliver. This is a disgrace that any business has this attitude towards any customer. Please share get this Viral and stop the rudeness of Domino's Pizza, ParisTexa
gag me
probably a dick move to order a pizza then and incredibly stupid move to write the note.....But calling upon social media to make something so trivial go viral so you can get free pizza? Well go frick yourself. Those poor women having to read that note, I just can't imagine what it was like to have to endure such a dramatic event.

Dominos. I rarely go to a restaurant or get take out close to closing because I've worked in the industry, and I know how much it sucks
That being said, if the store is open, then serve a customer. The employee who wrote that note is an idiot, but the nurses are just as dumb...
Nothing like some faux outrage to get some free pizza.

Why have your closing time listed as a certain time if you dont want to be open and work at that time? Kinda stupid.
All this social media outrage is going to be equally stupid though, if not worse.

Same here, we did it but it still sucks and is inconsiderate.
So a customer calling during posted business hours is inconsiderate?
What a load if kiddies this world is becoming.
Is it "inconsiderate" when you get that gallon of milk or diapers right at closing?
The phone was answered because management routinely calls close to closing making sure their workers are NOT shutting down early.
Workers know the hours. They don't get off at closing. The get off after cleaning AFTER closing. Same as opening, they don't get there at ope opening, the get there before to prepare.
10000000000000% on customer side. And ANY court would agree.
Nurse, simply NEVER call back. There are plenty of others that will gladly work their posted hours.
