which section of BR is more dangerous... Valley Park area or Gardere area?

My opinion is that the Gardere area is much more dangerous than Valley Park area after visiting Walmart on Burbank and Bluebonnet. This question only stems from comparing the environments\elements between the two Walmart locations.
Its crazy to think the college drive walmart is better\safer than Burbank's location.
Not sure if I lived off BB ext that I would ever shop there after my experience yesterday.

That burbank location was solid when it first opened... Took about 6 months to turn into a shite hole.

Valley Park is now, but it didn't used to be. Crime in Gardere has really plummeted over the last 10 years.

Used to be gardere about 5-10 years ago. However, I'd say valley park now.
I'm not saying gardere isn't dangerous, but if we're talking "more dangerous" now days, I'd say valley park.

Statistically that deoends upon race.
If you are a white male, you are, statistically, invincible on gardere.

that is what my SO said yesterday. She said when it first opened it was not that bad.
After yesterday, she said she feels much safer shopping at College Drive

Valley Park. By far.

That Walmart on Burbank is a shithole. It’s only a year old, but they never have inventory, and it’s always full of trash. It’s amazing, considering how many great neighborhoods are surrounding it. I didn’t realize how many people must live in Gardere for that Walmart to be so full of trash all the time

movie tavern,
Haven’t been for over a year, is it really already full of trash?

Baton Rouge will never have anything nice unless it is priced incredibly high. Culcha will ruin everything it ever gets. It has been like this for years and will only get worse.

This is always been the phenomenon that perplexes me with Baton Rouge vs. other cities of comparable sizes.
They all have crime-ridden, predominantly poor areas. But they're typically isolated to one or two significant areas. BR has that in North BR...but then has Valley Park, Old South BR, Gardere, Hyacinth/Staring, Ceadercrest, etc. And they're all adjacent to upper or middle class, desirable neighborhoods.

Gardere is more dangerous. Gardere is about 650 acres and Valley Park is 150. Due to density alone Gardere is worse.

The fact that the Burbank Wal-Mart has armed guards at the door is amazing. I don't even know how it can get that bad.

That place reminds me of being back on the border again. It's like little Tijuana.

What happened?
I've been going there for the past few months and not really seen anything out of the ordinary for a Walmart in Baton Rouge except a lot more Mexicans.

i went to go see IT on a sunday afternoon and two fat black chicks rolled up and sat by me. Took our their snacks from home, checked their bright iphone every 5 minutes, got their complimentary water, whispered the whole time...so yea, it sucks

I haven't been in about six months because of the human garbage walking around that joint, but when i used to go, they'd always have armed guards dressed in all black standing at the entrances and exits.
