I rafted a portion of the Nile River several years ago. That was a humbling experience, to say the least.

The problem with the Amazon is that everything scary you can't see. It's a mental thing.
Lions and tigers and bears oh my are scary but you at least feel like you would see them plenty in advance. In the Amazon, you got piranhas and anaconda's and microbes that scare corona virus just lurking around all lurky under the water.

Both. But Nile has crocs and they are aggressive as shite. At least things like piranhas arent aggressive unless they smell blood. The snakes are worrisome though in the Amazon.

Amazon in a landslide.
People keep citing the crocodiles in the Nile - the Amazon has fricking black caimans as well.
How about this giant fricker as well:
Literally everything you see in the Amazon, even tiny little poison dart frogs can wipe your arse out.

Born with a club foot, he needed crutches to get around and was often severely beaten by his father. At the age of eight, he attempted to kill his father with a gun, which jammed. He left home shortly after, first to Los Angeles, and then to Chicago, where he lived roughly and associated with gangsters, doing odd jobs for them to make money. At the age of 11, after being wounded in a gunfight between some gangsters and hospitalized, he was returned home to his mother, who had recently divorced.

Which river is scarier? Amazon or Nile?
Perhaps a more apt comparison would be the Amazon against the Congo.

Amazon
Anacondas
Jaguars
Poison dart frog
Black caymans
Bull sharks (yes they have been frequently found thousands of miles upriver)

Made 4 trips to Rio Negro fishing for Peacocks. Nile is scarier in my book.
