The only way I'd pay that much for a Mustang is if it has a name and was driven by Steve McQueen or Nicholas Cage.

Imagine spending 300K on any car.

Wish I had that kind of money to waste.

Watching that fella back it out of the trailer and onto the lift ramp made nervous AF.

Won’t get much more than half tbh at asking price. Value on these classics is dropping as fast as boomers these days.

While the car market is harder to predict than the Dow it is likely he bought an appreciating asset and my guess would be in two years it will be worth twice what he paid for it. This is a low supply car with a significant demand that required applying for an allocation similar to getting a Ford GT, Porsche GT or a Ferrari special edition or super car.

I say two years because he can't sell it for two years via contract and Ford is serious about those, just ask John Cena who got sued when he sold his second gen GT before the period was up.

This is a very special car and shares little more than sheet metal with its cousin on the show room floor. As has been mentioned it is a race car built by race car people aka Multimatic. It really isn't my sweetspot as I prefer the Porsche GT3RS or a Ferrari 296 but if you are a Mustang fan it is the pinnacle.

BAW in Covington got a neon yellow/ acid green one. Certified Ford nut who has both iterations of Ford GT as well as many other rare fords. Really chill guy.

Don’t know, but a car like that could be useful if it was needed for a movie set in the 1950’s or 1960’s. I would imagine if a movie producer called and said, look I don’t want to buy the car, but if you could have the car in New Orleans for a movie shoot and the movie production company would pay the dealership a few thousand dollars. They could get it for a few days.

Picture car rates can be very low. If it is just background you are looking as low as $150 a day. If you are talking about a “hero” car that is featured prominently it might get to $2000.
