Will affect you most when it happens?
Elton and Stevie Nicks are gonna hit me in the gut.

Leon Russell is reportedly about six weeks away from his death date.

Other than Axl, the other members of GNR are all pretty unhealthy although they're pretty much sober. Still, wouldn't surprise me if the hard living days catch up to Duff and Slash. I mean Slash has had a stent since he was 34 years old.
Adler will die soon, but that's more expected since he still uses heroin (or at least used heroin in the past 5 years).

I don't know any of them personally so I won't be in anguish.
I like their music, but I save grief for people I actually know.
I might say, "that sucks", but I won't take off work for entertainers, sports figures, etc.
Wish their families and friends comfort, etc.

For me it's Hank Jr. or Gregg Allman.
I've been a huge Allman Brothers fan since college, but Hank Jr. was the soundtrack to my formative/high school years.
Though he doesn't really meet the "reasonably close" criteria of the OP, George Strait would absolutely hit me the hardest of any musician.

Betts or allman would hit hard, as well as Dylan ... I've leaned on their music in the past to help me redirect some low times ...
