5. But if they would just take it out to grosse tete and tie it into I-10 around spanish lake it would effectively become a bypass. But I guess that makes too much god damn sense.

Wouldn't you need one that would allow access to I-12? All those trucks passing through aren't going to take I-10 through NOLA.

I think the idea is to form some type of loop with airline becoming an interstate eventually

Tie new bridge into I-10 around 73/74, or past Gonzales then make an elevated section coming off old bridge down airline to Florida.

Turn west of airline to Florida into interstate, no stops, make service roads accessible at certain exits. Have the Florida interstate tie back into I-12 after walker.

There. Fixed it. And didn’t need a multimillion dollar study to do it

My only problem with this is it would effectively cut my property in half.

Satellite view of that big green area south of 10 and there's one cleared section out there in paradise.

If they built a bridge, that is THE most intelligent place to cut through with a new highway as 77 will be insufficient.

And I'm not really cool with that.

The most intelligent thing to do is to build a second bridge a half mile down from the first. Or make the existing bridge bilevel.

FHWA requires all of these studies. Trump needs to trim down the FHWA to 10% of what they are now and give the money directly to the States.

The Interstate System would be impossible to build today with the current Federal requirements.

south of addis and north of plaquemine. 415 connects with bridge and widen Nicholson from bridge to 10 (gonzales)

Also build an Ascension to Livingston freeway eliminating the need to cut through EBR to get to the two heavily populated suburbs

Extend hwy 415 (Lobdell exit) south over intracoastal canal down to either option 1or 2.

All of this it moot if they don’t upgrade hwy 30 to minimum 5 lanes(2 travet lanes in each direction + turn lane) plus service roads.

You forgot to mention Denham Springs to Baton Rouge. That fricking eyesore over the Amite needs replacing.

If we took the crooks politicians out of this and just told some baws to make it happen, we’d have a full bypass and bridge by 2025.

On the location, I like Option # 2

quote:

So, once a location is decided upon, we can begin construction?

They(the state) will study it to death until we give up wanting one.

We have been talking about bridges for years now, how much longer before this study is completed?

You will be eating out of a straw before it is completed

quote:

No word on when construction on the bridge would begin once the study is complete.

Translated:We like the idea of a new bridge...we REALLY like the idea. In fact we welcome even more ideas for the bridge. Now we don't like the IDEA, as of yet, to even think about building one....and trust us, you're not gonna like it when we actually decide to move forward on it.....But by then we'll all be in nursing homes ..and the people in power will have to study this some more
