Me neither. Can't be too bad if McDonalds has been making bank off that clown for decades now.

At the same time I have never understood why kids like clowns. Even when I was a kid I didn't see anything funny about them. The whole idea was stupid to me even back then.

Talk irrational fears I know a guy who is deathy afraid of midgets. To point if he walks in a store and sees one he will leave and go somewhere else.

Being absolutely honest with this. In 1998-99, I lived in SS, CO and my wife and I were friends with a bunch of chicks. We kept coming up with words that we disliked. Moist AND damp were on the list...as were tunic, towelette, a bunch of anatomical words....

Just saying.

What about turgid and tumescent?

Personally, I don't have an aversion to any word, but clowns on the other hand are fricked up. They are all pedophiles or serial killers, or fricking both.

frick all clowns.

Agree on both accounts. People copy what they hear others doing and act like it's cool. Any adult I've seen act afraid of clowns does a terrible job at it and I am embarrassed for them.

It all is 100% rooted in Tim Curry's depiction of the eponymous clown in It.

had a cousin who was terrified of them. For one of my birthdays, I specifically requested a clown. It wasn't because I liked clowns, it was for the actual show I wanted to see in my cousin flipping his shite. I was 6 and I still remember. It was so fricking funny. God that was worth it. What a gift him screaming in terror with his dad putting his hand over his mouth while the clown performed tricks.

I was sadistic to him for sure. It was payback for the vacation where he made us watch Return of Jafar 100 times. Didn't even want to go to the beach and would cry because he couldn't watch that movie.

I've been on reddit too much recently. When you said you were 6, I skipped to the end to make your story didn't end with something about not forgetting that in 1998, the undertaker threw mankind off the hell in a cell.

Also, John Wayne Gacy (Pogo the Clown) raped and murdered 33 teenage boys and young men between '72 and '78. I'd say that was a pretty good reason for a fear of clowns.

I also know a girl who is deathly afraid of clowns, and I also think its way over played and over dramatized. And I know lots of girls who hate moist and one who also hates panties.

Chicks are weird man.

It doesn't happen very often but reading this little bit of background in this post and the follow up one from you, I feel like I understand a lot of your posts a lot better now.
