Geddy Lee.
Geddy, was derived from his mother's Polish-accented pronunciation of his given first name, Gary. His friends heard it as "Geddy" when she would call for him, so they started calling him that.
Lee is his middle name. He grew up thinking it was Lorne, but he later found a birth certificate that showed his actual middle name was Lee.
Weinrib is his last name, and well that I guess does not really sound rock n roll

Does Scary Gary from my childhood public pool count? He was sort of a cultural figure of the mid 70's in suburban Missouri, in a way.

Prince was a pretty decent pseudonym. The symbol thing was dumb as hell.

Serious question: what was with people naming their kids initials back then?
Dunno. In Cash's case mom wanted to name him John, dad wanted to name him Ray. They settled on J.R.
Martin Sheen's real name is Ramón Gerard Antonio Estévez. Charlie Sheen is Carlos Irwin Estévez.
