I don’t think my wife owns those but I’m sure she’s got some expensive shoes that I would laugh at.
Although I imagine it blows her mind how much money I spend on golf and tickets to sporting events

No. My husband neither buys them for me nor do I buy them for myself. I don't do "street style", and certainly not something pre-hobo'ed. It's not my esthetic.

You can buy pre-bedazzled Converse new at TJ Maxx for under $30. I have a sequin pair, 2 glitter pairs (different colors), and 2 metallic pairs (1 solid, 1 patterned). Oh, and Walmart is carrying a Sam & Libby (surprisingly, a brand I never thought I’d see at Walmarks) silver glitter knock-off for $30. The best thing is these brands are clean when they’re new.
If a gentleman or his lady really wants to spend stupid money on shoes, I highly recommend these. They are perfect for everything from the boardroom to the boudoir.

Those shoes were a big deal with the tier 1 broads (trust fund, PJs, proper plastic surgery) about 7 years ago. This set has long moved on from those dumb arse shoes.
