Bruh, I see this thing all the time in the East. I had a thread on it a few years ago after parking next to it at a gas station.

Looks ugly but great utility.

I’m all for functionality but I have doubts about that dude’s payload.

That was actually not a cheap rig to put together.

I don't know why anybody would do it that way, but some money went into it.

Could he be using it as a hitch basket?

thats not even the excursion body style, so the entire thing must have been custom, not just the added bed

It might be the guy from Heisser's. I know he did a Chevy one like that before Katrina. I'd bet whoever it is has a wrecker yard.

The bed is attached to the hitch.
It's not that custom, like someone else said, a hitch box. Just the biggest hitch box I've seen.

The 22" rims are a bit surprising.

Without seeing the front and only seeing the badging then yea it's actually pretty custom. Ford quit making the Excursion in 2005, that's a 6.4 badge so that's most likely a 08-10 F250 with the Excursion conversion done($$$). They take a wrecked/donor Excursion and chop the two in half and mold them together.

There's two 6.7(11-16) Excursion swaps in Lafayette, one of which being a 6 door swap. The base price to swap your F250 to a regular Excursion starts at over $40k.

It's the front of a new F250 put on an older Excursion.

Have you ever seen a Cadillac front on a Silverado?

Yes custom but not something crazy.
A shade tree can change a front.

Honestly I love Excursions and have thought about restoring one.

Yep, I just realized it looks like a gas burner, so probably just a grill/quarter panel swap. I'd love to have an old 7.3 Excursion.

Somebody should slip another hitch box in the SuperDuty hitch.
