Fire ants have eaten them all up along with most of the armadillo population

I know they are not insects, but they eat insects... But what about Geckos? It seems like one summer they just showed up and they would be everywhere under the breeze way in my back yard, when the lights went out. Then for the past 2 or 3 years, I haven't seen many of them.. If any at all.

Not sure if you are talking about the green and brown anoles. Very interesting turf battle going on there.

Combination of less wooded areas due to urban development and use of pesticides. Get away from the city and there are still more bugs than your fly swatter can handle.

It’s time to stand up for our little green baws. For years they turned the other cheek while we wore them as earrings and chopped off their tails for fun. Now, in their time of need we need to be there for them. If everyone here kills just 2 brown lizards a day we can really make a difference.

I’m convinced this killed off the fireflies.

Caterpillars used to be everywhere growing up. You couldn’t go anywhere without seeing them. Don’t see a whole lot any more. We used to shoot them in the back yard when we were kids

I’m pretty sure they all have migrated to my house and are planning a sneak attack on me.

We always called them doodlebugs. Recently, I’ve learned many people use that name for ant lion larvae. Who’s the dumbass here?

I have every bug from my childhood in New Orleans, plus some I've never seen, here at my house in Lacombe. I made a request for St Tammany mosquito control not to spray in the ditches in front of my house. Not sure if this makes a difference or not but I have everything from cicadas, to tree frogs, to all kinds of cool moths and yes, mosquitos. But you have to take the good with the bad especially when you're starting up a permaculture Orchard.

As long as you don't keep any standing water or wet leaf litter around your house mosquito shouldn't be bad. You can also do things like plant lemongrass, lemon thyme and lemon balm around your house instead of peonies or whatever other pointless gay shite people plant near their homes.
