Geckos were accidentally introduced from Asia a few decades ago. They love eating moths so, in turn, there were less moths laying eggs to become caterpillars. I noticed at my house that as the gecko population grew, the caterpillars' numbers dwindled. Now it seems the geckos are on the decline so I expect the number of caterpillars to increase soon. It's the cir-cle of liiiife!
