Nowhere this year. Middle of a terrible drought. Half the state is burning down.
Hillbilly burning trash on Wednesday sparked a fire that grew to 40k acres in 48 hours.
Another fire that started Thursday was from a tossed cigarette.
No fireworks in the Rockies this year unfortunately.

South Carolina baw, they have the good stuff
I've always wondered how many fireworks from South Carolina flow north to the illegal fireworks states on I-95 this time of year.

The local KCs sells them, and they are the cheapest place around.
I haven't bought fireworks in 20+ years, but I have a friend who will spend $200-$300 on fireworks. Last year I was at his house and couldn't believe some of the changes in fireworks.
The little pop things that you throw on the ground. Remember, they use to be little white papers filled with gun powder? Now they are green, about.. I guess maybe a half inch long, skinny and got a little more pop in them. And the smoke bombs are a little different as well. I am going to a friend's house. He has 3 daughters and they like to shoot fireworks. I might go grab a few things just to play around with them.

Do they even sell good fireworks any more. They've just gotten more wussed out and expensive over the years.
Used to you could lite a jumping jack and the damn thing would fly all over the place. Now they just fizzle out in a few seconds.

My young son peeled the paper off an excaliber artillery shell and unbeknownst to me, the powder charge in the bottom that propels the shell upwards fell out too. I put it in the tube, lit it as usual and it blew up the frigging tube. It blew a whole in the ground and was as loud or louder than a transformer blowing. Neigbors came driving by from a half mile away to see what happened.
