We used to go to Video USA a lot in Central

I think they thought they could get blockbuster at it's peak rent for that location. Surprised nothing has been done with it since BB left.

Grand Cinema Station is still alive and kicking on Florida Boulevard.

I thought the Blockbuster on Jones Creek was about a mile from the entrance of Shenandoah closer to Woodlawn BC.

I don't remember what kind of store is going in but they were putting the signs up yesterday. Whatever it was it didn't interest me much

BR doesn't really have any attractive latinas that I've seen
Yeah, they literally gain about 20 lbs about a month after crossing the border

Shopping center at the corner of Jones Creek and Coursey

Another reason Texas is better than LA. I’m sitting at an apartment pool and looking at 2 Latina dimes. Now, to be fair, the rest of the mix of people here are not very good looking. That goes for white, black, and Latinas.

there was one at the intersection of Government St and Acadian

I just remember the video stores on Burbank by Gardere and one on Government by BRCC that has pron sections. Circa 2000.

This store has been vacant for 15+ years. I saw they were finally putting some sort of business in it yesterday. I always thought it would make a cool restaurant with all of the windows but I guess adding a kitchen etc would be a pretty expensive remodel.
I vaguely remember it being a restaurant when I was really young.

Just go find all of the mattress firms. Those used to be blockbusters.

In general, wherever a dental office or Matress Firm has set up shop.

There was a similar one on Flannery road, btw Old Hammond and Goodwood. I walked in to rent a movie and there were about 10 movies on a shelf and the room was the size of a bedroom.
Then, I noticed the door to the back…

Millerville is now a mattress shop, Airline and old Hammond is a mattress shop, old Hammond/Sherwood Mexican food store, Sherwood/coursey is a pool store, Perkins/Essen is a walk-in clinic.

Jones Creek and Coursey kind of near the old Woodlawn High
That shopping center had some great stores in the 80s/90s. Zacks Frozen Yogurt, Godfathers, K&B, Blockbuster, and a sporting goods store owned by an ex Saints player, I believe.
We rode our bikes up there all the time from Hickory Ridge in the summer.

You're thinking of Jones Creek and Tiger Bend. And it was an Alfalfa Video, which originally was a restaurant owned by Charles Alexander that he started after his NFL career. The restaurant didn't last long.

yep youre right. Alfalfa video, not Blockbuster. What was the sporting goods store?
