It's not that bad

You can find a decent elementary and middle school for 6-7k.

Central public schools are top 3-4 in the state unless you just want to put them in private.

With the Central Throughway you can be in BR in 10 minutes so it's not as far out as St Francisville if that's what you are looking for.

If you work in St. Francisville, you should live there too.

I would live in mid city. Easy jump on I-110 to St Francisville for work, fairly easy to get to any other area of BR, a lot of good developments coming up, and you actually feel like you live in a city and not a suburb. Garden District/Capital Heights/Old Goodwood all great neighborhoods.

Live in St. Francisville.

Why would you pony up the money for private school just to subject yourself to a 25-30 mile commute? You're killing no birds with two stones.

Immediately check for fit.

Probably take them off as soon as possible and put my own back on.

I haven’t worn anyone else’s shoes in decades.

Look at Santa Maria or Casa Colina. If you say your pulling in $150K per year, it shouldn’t be hard to qualify of a loan in these areas. No crime, culcha, and you’d have some leftover to send your kids to private school.

Why doesn’t your wife work?
