Afterwards? All around my property hurriedly picking up the 1990s porn mag collection strewn about that I've never thrown out for some reason.

My office building is one of the few in town with a basement. If it happens while I'm at home I'm SOL.

Fully dressed in the bathtub or laundry room.
My biggest fear is being found semi naked wrapped around a pine tree.

My classroom at school. It was added after the fact and is on the corner of the building. Three of the walls have interior cinder block with exterior brick on the outside. The lone interior wall is cinder block and separates my room from the next classroom. There are two other rooms beyond that. The roof is metal. Of course, that's only IF I have time to get there. My commute with traffic is about 4 minutes. Hauling arse I can get there in two minutes give or take. Let's hope tgat option is never needed.

I always figured a culvert or something if it wasn’t flooding, has to be better than a shallow ditch or a trailer.

There’s a room off my basement that is under the front porch. 8x12 and it is reinforced concrete about a foot thick for the roof. Cinder block walls and completely under ground. Only opening is a regular wood door but the rest of the basement is mostly underground.

After the F4 in Bossier back in 1978, this is exactly what we found laying around.

Hard to imagine how laying in a shallow ditch would be safer but who knows.

Pffffttttt!!! I’d just take the elevator in my house down to Level 3 underground to my underground penthouse.

I've always wondered what weird shite gets blown out of homes during storms and are people scrambling to pick it up or at least toss it in the neighbor's yard before a bunch of people show up.

Unfortunately this. Not much about 95% of Louisiana can for an EF 4 barring down on you

Is trying to get out of its way in the car any less safe than being vulnerable and immobile in a house with no basement or safe room?
EF4s and EF5s don’t leave much behind except the slab.
Yes.
I have seen the Tuscaloosa news coverage before, and that was essentially the insstructions for anyone. "If you can't get underground, out of the way is your only chance."
