That’s indescribably awful. I can’t imagine what parents must go through.

No kidding. It's like they're stuck in a cave filled with rattlesnakes, but all they're scared of is the one spider in the corner.

Why isn’t Chicago demanding justice for Mekhi James who was shot in the back and killed Saturday?
Where are his murals being painted at?
Ridiculous
Your racist tactics of misdirection and deflection have been recognized and called out innumerable times. Most recently in the beatification of George Floyd by many black community leaders and pastors.
Chicago's (or any other city's for that matter) black on black murders are unrelated, off limits, and ultimately the white race's fault.
So, no, those precious lives you rightly mourn don't matter any more than do the millions of black babies slaughtered in America's abortion mills.

Officers have legal authorization to commit, what would otherwise be assault, to perform an arrest. The officer was performing a legal hold on a resisting arrestee that he, per code, should relieve once the resisting arrestee is secure. If that didn’t have anything to do with the arrestee’s death we don’t even know if there is a crime to charge much less if we should charge the cop.
It would be like arresting someone while you’re not sure whether or not the death was a suicide.
If someone dies shortly after having their neck knelt on for almost nine minutes, there’s probable cause to believe the person doing the kneeling caused that death, and did so unlawfully. However, it seems as though to arrest a police officer, we don’t use the standard of probable cause. Instead, it seems like the standard is somewhere between “beyond a reasonable doubt” and “beyond all doubt”.

We see ourselves as part of the global Black family, and we are aware of the different ways we are impacted or privileged as Black people who exist in different parts of the world. We are guided by the fact that all Black lives matter, regardless of actual or perceived sexual identity, gender identity, gender expression, economic status, ability, disability, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, immigration status, or location. We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead. We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence. We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered. We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts. We make our spaces family-friendly and enable parents to fully participate with their children. We dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work “double shifts” so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work. We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable. We foster a queer-affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).
This is from BLM’s own website. This goes far far beyond police reform. Much of it has nothing to do with police brutality. It’s goals are so broad and abstract that it will always find a justification to protest something.

A girl I follow on insta posted a story about justice for Elijah McClain this morning. I responded with the same question about Mekhi. Her response was 'if you're unhappy with my posts please unfollow me." That was it. I wasn't unhappy with her post or trying to be an a-hole. Just asking a question.

Media pulling a Rope-a-Dope with fake NASCAR stories in which no one got hurt (physically).

Reading stories like this makes me so sad. Hate seeing stuff. I know this post was used as a gotcha for the BLM movement, which I totally get, but it still doesn't take away from the tragedy that happened

After seeing this, I googled the child’s name. First article detailed all of the black on black shootings in Chicago in this one weekend.

Here’s some outrage.
It’s the cop’s fault, naturally. You can’t make this shite up.

Cute kid. Too bad people are more concerned about changing the names of schools and removing statues and glorifying the lives of career criminals to stop this nonsensical violence.
Mekhi could have been the one to cure cancer but we'll never know.
RIP Mekhi Godspeed
