Where is the best city / state / country to get away from the "BS"?

By the BS I'm referring to the crime, deadbeats, and general pussification of society. Just pure, hardworking members of society with a reasonable head on their shoulders.

The USA was never perfect, but it seems like the 1920's- 1950's was the golden age of society. People kept themselves in check, still had standards and morals, and overall working for the greater good for their families.

Is there a place like this anymore? A city of like-minded folks?

Every place has its own BS. It doesn't matter where you go.

Appalachian Mountains south of Maryland (don’t get too close to Atlanta)(Asheville has little control outside its own county)

Idaho/Montana/Wyoming/ND/SD

As always, check the local county demographics

Collierville and Germantown here in TN are waiting for you my friend. Good schools. Parks everywhere. Affordable cost of living and if you want to go into the city to eat, work , catch a Grizzlies or Redbirds game you can. It amazes me the # of people I talk to that live and work in Gtown and Cville and they’ll go weeks and even months at a time never crossing over into the Memphis city limits.

Loving County, Texas.

Problem is it’s way too far from speck fishing, so a deal breaker for me to live out there.

oh yea 1850s was just a killer time to be alive. nothing liek getting up before dawn to go plow the field, only seeing 1-2 non familty members a week and working your dick in the dirt. nothing says height of western civilization like that.

Area is absolutely beautiful and wonderful…in months that don’t contain an “r” in their name.

I would say the Idaho Montana Wyoming area, but stay more toward the east of that region. The closer you get to Washington and Oregon the more f'ed up it gets.
