I can't fricking believe they put it right off of Browns Ferry. The one time I went last year when the ol' lady insisted, getting out of the lot was a nightmare.

And they call it the "Athens" location.

My dad tried to push for an Athens-Limestone unified government in the 80's ala Nashville-Davidson, but alas, Huntsville and Madison Co. will continue to lasso the best growth spots.

I’d like to know how many visitors the new MS location had yesterday. Stopped there around 1p yesterday and it seemed every parking spot was full and every gas pump was full. Busiest I’ve ever seen a Buc-ee’s!

Don't get me started on that one.

You’ve obviously never been to the one on the interstate beach exit in Alabama during the summer.

My local Walmart installed a Redi-Ice auto bag ice machine a few years ago. It would make ice and fill up the bags. I don’t think it lasted. It kept jamming up, they just went back to SLO-Melt ice from Bourg Ice and Supply. Fun fact they deliver ice to pretty much every where in SELA and parts of Mississippi. They make 225 tons of ice each day and have 3000 pallets of ice on standby for an emergency.

Talked to the beef jerky manager last week said they are number one in sales for the franchise at the moment. Slinging 600 lbs of jerky a day just in the counter cases not counting the pre packaged stuff.

Is the case jerky better than the prepackaged jerky?

I might stop there this afternoon. I found the prepackaged jerky a little dry.

The Alabama beach store is 20K square feet smaller than the MS one. It feels busier but has less volume overall.

I can’t wait to see the melt down when the Buc-ees bubble burst.

So many white trash families are going to be devastated

Would make a great hurricane shelter once they go bankrupt

Same goes for all the other locations along the Gulf Coast.

They have ice factories on the premises. I had a cashier tell me this at the store near my house which is not a large one. He also told me that a lot of local restaurants will buy ice from them.

Multiple times a yr, usually with a 5th wheel behind me. But I’ll never pull into the MS location with my camper unless it’s between 8p-8a.
