Why were dark slaves sent to work in the field while the slaves who were lighter in complexion worked in the house?

Then speak up about it. The Irish of America today seem to be doing alright. The Indians who were able to the survive Andrew Jackson attempt to wipe them off the face of the earth however, are not doing so good though. You won't do shite to help them because you identify with the white part of your family tree. You just like people to know you are 1/1000000000 native american, I bet you don't even know what tribe you belong to.

So tell us.. What are you proud of?? Nothing? Nothing of any sorts?

To be proud of any part of your heritage it has to be completely clean of any wrong doing? So I guess you are either a hypocrite or proud of absolutely nothing.

Possible alternative explaination: lighter skinned ones were progeny of either the current or past owners. Once there, slaves of that linage stayed even if the original reason was forgotten.


And don't act like dark=fields and light= inside was a universal distinction.

I don't feel the slightest bit of guilt regarding slavery, because I had no part in it. Am I ashamed that it is a prevalent part of our history...yea, slavery is a terrible thing. No human being should be the property of someone else. But to feel guilty about it would require admitting that I did something wrong, which I have not.
