All of my ancestors were Brits that got here before 1700 with one notable exception.
On my Mom’s (no pics) side, she has an ancestor who was a captured Hessian mercenary officer during the Revolutionary War. He elected to stay here after being paroled or freed, and ended up with property and a family in Maryland.
So I am a Son of the American Revolution on both sides of my family and from both sides on my maternal line.

Mom’s side: Bavaria, Prussia, mid-1800s; English, Scots-Irish, late 1700s; Creek Indian (the side that attacked Fort Mims); Quebec with d’iberville’s exploration party, late 1600s; Mobile Indian (probably Choctaw-related)
Dad’s side: Acadians kicked out of Nova Scotia and French kicked out of Saint-Domingue (Haiti); Spanish imported to Bayou Teche; Croatia, 1907, to escape forced conscription into the Austro-Hungarian military.

England and Scotland in 1600s, except for late arrivals which were French in the 1730s

Some of them came from England and Scotland around 300 years ago. Some of them crossed over on the Bering Land Bridge during the last ice age.

One side from France in early 1800s with a few sprinklings of Ireland
Other side from Nova Scotia in early 1800s

England early early 1600's.
53% England and Northwest Europe
24% Irish
17% Sweden Denmark
6% Germanic Europe
Also have French ancestors.
The DNA breakdown is odd because my brother and sister don't have much Irish but have 30% Scottish which I have none.
Ancestors fought in Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Along with European/English wars before America was founded
Thomas Jefferson is my 2nd Cousin 7x removed. Also related to every King of England, Princess Diana etc
Related to all these people through cousin Thomas Jefferson:

Foot in the hill, the French side of my family were on the Queen Anne, which is one of the earliest Huguenot vessels, we may also be related. This was very confusing as they changed their name to an English version causing most of us to believe we were early Irish settlers but we were always French

We hit the beach in 1698 thanks to primogeniture. Wish we had gone further south at this point, but it has been a good run.

Mostly Scotland in the mid-late 18th century and Ireland in the early 19th century. North Carolina was the initial settlement for both. Mom’s side is recently from GA, dad’s side from Mississippi.
We have wills/documents from our first generation American ancestors.
