You should consider remote work in somewhere like Chattanooga or the blue ridge mountains or Raleigh Durham or in food.court lobby or wherever all the college gals hangout in Arizona state U. Get out of LA. Come back after several years if you want.

St. George is the liberal mecca of Louisiana. You’d love it there.

Spanish Town, Beauregard Town, Capital Heights, Ogden Park, Park Blvd/Garden District, Poet's Corner, Zeeland Place, and the area from Independence Park to BRCC on Government (across the street from Old Goodwood).

Southdowns close to the overpass. Perkins by the park. Both have cool coffee joints. You can be a little more adventurous and live around Park avenue close to government. Mid City Beer garden is filled with your exact description of people every day.

BR has some cool areas, but most people only think of LSU and then the ghetto of NBR. 70808 is 78% white. Heck it's whiter than the proposed St. George..70810 is 57% white.
