I've had 3 people admit to lurking here, but none have admitted to posting here, which I'm betting they all have.

TD came up in conversation with some friends a couple years back. My wife tells them "My husband post stupid shite on that dumb website everyday". I had no idea she knew this site existed until then. Glad she didn't out my TD SN.

I remember as a kid, pre mall of la, how nice it would be if there was a CFA closer to my parents house in south BR.

One night my wife and I went to dinner with one of our friends who writes for nola.com, my wife told her that I always look at this site. Our reporter friend says she does as well and uses this site for developing stories.

Figured it would be Whataburger, people get more pissed off about making fun of that mediocre burger than mediocre chiken.

Would think the OT is a goldmine for anyone writing about social issues.

I have never met another in real life that posts here. I have been on other boards, and seen people use the word baw. I immediately begin guessing their TD account name. I have actually figured out 3 others here off of other boards.

She thinks most poster on here are ignorant bigots (her words, not mine) but when stories like the frat daddy who beat the homeless man to death and the kid who ran over people during Endymion came out it's well known that nola.com writers lurk the OT for leads.

No wonder all their "journalism" is terrible. I guess anytime they quote "sources" it should really read, "What I read on Tigerdroppings"

Anyway guy at Chic-Fil-A in Baton Rouge, I saw you.

This sounds an awful lot like a Craigslist Missed Connections post. What was he wearing?

I met a guy that lives in central Florida by him asking me about my LSU cap. He told me I should go to TD. I told him I do come here. He started asking my handle but I didn't tell him. I didn't get his either.

The whole thing was odd because we both live 700+ miles from Tiger stadium.

Was recently at a customer and saw his phone on his desk open to TD. Reminded me to guard my anonymity.

There was a bunch of TD posters that are regulars on the OB that attended a benefit auction for a fellow OB poster that passed away several years back in Monroe. Although I am from Monroe, I did not know the guy except through his posts on the OB but I could tell he was a class act and when this event got circulating on the OB, I went. Even donated a hunt. It was cool. His widow mentioned his internet buddies when she spoke and we all took an OB picture together.

Rest In Peace EJW.

When I lived in Dallas, I got some Texas, OU, and A&M fans at work reading TD's for recruiting info. Pretty sure that was the SEC Recruiting Board. Pre-Lache Sistrunk, they had me reading Shaggy Bevo for the lists of recruits that LSU was supposed to be paying.

A bunch more asked for the name of "That SEC board" when the rumors of A&M to the SEC started up.

They all knew my user name. I used to keep the site open on my machine at work in the days before they blocked that kind of stuff.

I work with a guy who rather argue on TD than do work. Everyone in the office watches him and makes fun of him. He’ll be on his way out soon RIP!
