There have been some interesting studies on consciousness and perhaps the future ability to be able to separate it from the body. A lot of it has its relation to studies in anesthesia and the ability to shut off consciousness completely

Science would be able to explain out of body experiences as well as claims of reincarnation if they were able to isolate and separate consiousness

So when this happens would one have any feelings?

I ask this because I had a friend overdose. I often wonder if he realized what he had done while it was happening and if he had any feelings of remorse or felt anything really.
