Whenever corprate greed stops competing for the almighty dollar. Look at me! I gave up on the coprate rat race years ago, went on disabilty, and have never been happier sense and never have to worry about money again!

The new styles look way better.
WAY better. You're a child or a clown if you think that first McDonalds design looks good.

I guess if you like boring, bland and sterile architecture then sure.

the second one looks like a prison and there’s nothing unique, fun, or even nostalgic about it.

No man, the new styles are soulless, ugly monstrosities.

I would assert, both are more purposeful marketing statements than true actual architectural design.

Im clearly in the minority on this thread. I stand by what I said. That red roofed McDonalds is an eyesore

Next step is they will completely devolve in to Soviet era brutalism.

Easily built and replicated, cheaper than making something aesthetic.
The modern look has been sold to hipsters because they have no soul. Its just a cheap substitute for artistic architecture.

This shite is being designed by 50-65 year olds who think they know what young people like

That’s because it was designed to appeal to children. Kids want McDonald’s, so mom and dad take them to McDonald’s. It’s literally the formula McDonalds used to become the McDonald’s we know, or knew, today. It’s not supposed to appeal to single 20somethings with no kids. It’s supposed to appeal to families.

We see this all over society, a bunch of 65 year old tv executives programming for “what young people like” yet less and less young people watch tv. Products marketed to young people, yet Gen Z is less materialistic than older generations, etc, etc
You just want so badly to be aggrieved by my post
