they are on the way out for sure.

I just put in an aftermarket stereo in a work van with no cd player and no AM radio.

Didn't need either.

Yep. Of course, it only outputs the relevant audio stream at any one time, but newer cars have huge amounts of integration with both Apple and Android systems.

I get that with newer cars, in fact some stream the music not your phone, but I wasn't sure CAD's $100 Pioneer would do that.

I still have to burn CDs. no AUX and no tape player, so I'm pretty much out of luck.

I keep forgetting they have that FM station. Do they give you traffic reports too? I need to know if the ferries are running.

yep. It does. In fact I posted a ridiculously exhaustive review on here (I know you're shocked ) including pics 4 or so years ago when I installed it. It even tunes in HD radio and has 2 USB inputs to charge stuff.

I bought a cheap USB car adapter and drilled out a hole in my glovebox so I could keep a USB stick with music in there all the time and keep it locked.

With Google music I abandoned USB storage though.

It's still rocking among..

Tigerwise: found my install write up. I was still pretty active on XDA at the time as well and covered it from the Android angle and my TD post was pretty much the same thing.

I'm lol-ing at my own comments in this thread. Some things never change. I think tigerwise would recognize my posting style by the second sentence.
