when was the last time you went to the BR zoo?

i noticed theres an event there tonite and it occurred to me i havent been there in at least 35 years if not longer, ever since elementary school

I believe they're having a "brew at the zoo" this weekend if you wanna go when there's no kids. I saw it pop up in my Facebook feed.

Every year for Boo at the Zoo, little kids like it but it still sucks, and a couple of times for kids field trips. I really believe Boo at the Zoo and field trips keep that place barely running through the year. There's no giraffe, no elephant, the only halfway decent exhibit is the tiger. Not to mention it's in the hood.

It's not bad if you are looking to just walk around in nice weather, like on a "Nothing to do Sunday afternoon"
Not many cool zoo animals... mostly monkeys and birds, but not bad for $8 per adult

Went a few months ago with my nephews. They didn't care about the animals at all and just played at the playground the whole time.

When I was in college about 14, 15 yrs ago.
The only reason I went was because extra points were given in an anthropology class if you brought in your ticket from the zoo.
