If RFK can get rid of the high fructose corn syrup out of all our food that will be a big win.

Yep, the US is better because you get choices.

If the UK had the same cheap access to HFCS, they’d be using it over there too.

Preservatives (in bread) aren’t the reason our nation is overweight and sick.

Not sure on preservatives, but high fructose corn syrup is almost certainly one of, if not the main reason we are a nation of fat asses. The obesity epidemic began to take off in the early 90's, which is roughly ten years after HFCS had replaced cane sugar in the food industry. Or when the first generation of kids were fed the shite.

As for choices, good luck finding main stream products in the US that do not contain HFCS.

There used to be business establishments that existed primarily to sell “day old” bread. A loaf of DG Clover Valley bread is still good after around a month.

Sometimes I wonder what planet y’all are on. We have bread and buns that go moldy quite often. Usually when I want a sammich or have just grilled.

I think the food preservation timelines like for bread can be traced back to the military darpa labs making food for MRE's. Milk seems to last forever now also.

Someone give me the cliffs of what she says the best are at the end of the video.
she doesn’t - she says 1. If you want bread pick one at the store you like and eat it knowing the health risks - all the store breads are equally bad
2. Find a local baker that bakes bread with 3 ingredients
3. Bake your own

Why do we have to get the garbage and UK can get normal ketchup?

Do you even try looking?

Hunt's 100% Natural ketchup, available pretty much everywhere.

I don’t buy the shitty bread, if you buy better quality stuff it doesn’t have most of the extreme preservatives that keep it from molding

You’re right of course, but to me It’s less about our personal choices alone as much as it is about getting the information in the hands of consumers to make those better choices for themselves for now, but more importantly in putting an end to this garbage that the FDA themselves allow companies to put in their foods for people to consume. I mean we’re all very familiar with the war on cigarettes for people’s health. Is this really that much better? It’s still poison, even though it gets fat cats fatter at the detriment to most people in America. But then it gets even more dastardly IMO when you factor in the pharmaceutical industry that reaps the benefits of a sickly people.

The FDA is supposed to be in place to protect the public, and yet they are absurdly corrupt, looking after the financial interests of corporations rather than health and well being of the people, looking after enormous corporations like Tyson, Monsanto and all of their subsidiaries, all while putting smaller farms out of business.

If these people are our friends, I hope we never run into our actual enemies.

We bought some “Our Daily Bread” and it was only a couple of days on the counter before it was moldy. Should be fine in the refrigerator. I’ll take that over all the chemicals in other bread.
