My son who is slated to attend LSU 2016 has had the worst luck. 2 weeks ago he totals his car thankfully being OK. He dropped his IPhone which cost 100 to get repaired. Some good news happens when he gets a job only to be robbed at gunpoint on his second day there. Yesterday he is diagnosed with Mono and must sit out the Soccer city league. I don't know what I can say to him that will encourage his luck. Anyone experience this?

Sorry to hear about the robbery. That's terrible. From someone who's experienced it first hand, it's not something that's easily forgotten.

Isn't mono only contracted from kissing other dudes?

He's still alive, and he's going to a good school. it could be a lot worse.

Sounds like you need to buy that kid an escort while his mom and dad leave town for a weekend. He'll forget all the other shite.

When shite gets ridiculously bad like that for me, I can't help but sit back and laugh. It is just comical how so many things can go wrong at the same time

I guess him being a white male makes that the quintouple whammy. Tell him to be gay. They always seem to be jovial when they wave their hands and shite

So many good cliches here. Just tell him the truth - life's a bitch, but you'll get through it.

So he's still going to LSU; still has a job; his phone has been replaced; his insurance will cover the car; and he will recover from mono.

Are you a troll?

He's about to attend an SEC school and have the best time of his life, he (had) a car, has an iphone, has a job, and is athletic enough to play on a soccer team. How bad is his life really?
