bullshite! I’m a jogger AND a driver. Every now and then I come across a walker or jogger who is taking up enough of the road that I have to slow down. This is rare, though, and I have NEVER had to slam on my brakes. The vast majority of the time the runner/walker is way out of the way.

Just as some drivers drive like idiots, some pedestrians walk or jog like idiots. The others are fine to walk in the street. As others pointed out, the sidewalks are so messed up that they are dangerous to run on.

So many of those night walkers walk right next to the hwy and dress in black. I've almost hit several of the idiots just because they are camo'ed in black at night.

Same here. I get really pissed off when I see them at the last second in the darkest shadows along the street because they are playing road ninja. I've had several close calls.

If you have to walk at night, wear bright clothing!

Damn, this sounds just like my hometown.

It's a fairly small town, but they spent the time and budget to install 100+ miles of bike paths running everywhere throughout. These are asphalt bike paths wide enough for 4 bikes side by side and one path runs along the main boulevard roughly 10 feet off the road - but the damn cyclists will STILL choose to ride in the fcking Boulevard where the speed limit is 50mph.

There's cyclists and joggers everywhere throughout that choose to run or ride in the road, when this town spent millions building a network of paths just for them. It's infuriating.
