Seems we should switch back to more domestic production

Fantastic. All this talk about ammonium nitrate definitely has law enforcement monitoring Tigerdroppings now.
if you want to be permanently on an FBI/CIA watchlist, click this link.
Haber process
The process essential transforms air into fertilizer by combining it with hydrogen from fossil fuels.
killing off about half the world's population merely requires restricting the fossil fuels that provide the hydrocarbons used in the Haber process.
Now you know. And knowing is half the battle

Well, my friend…
Where is any other option? Surely if there was any other process that was economically feasting it would be in place.

When the price of fertilizer goes up you use chicken shite which is free. Cow shite works too.

I remeber when 125 bushels of corn per acre was kicking arse. Now farmers are pulling down 225 bushels on "decent" yields

What do you mean when? It already has. Liquid nitrogen went from about $225 a ton to $550 per ton. Potash has done the same. Farm chemicals are doing the same. We have bought Roundup for as little as $18 gallon. It is now $63.

Yep and you can't spray monsanto crops with generic roundup. Gotta use the resl shite

Fertilizer is a commodity. Much like any commodity, this is entirely a supply and demand issue. Demand is at an all time high, supply is constrained for a few reasons. A hurricane took down CF for a couple weeks and caused a little backlog. China is restricting exports and causing a much bigger backlog.
The domestic plants are all running at max capacity. Supply will correct eventually and prices will come back down. Demand isn’t exactly going away.

I wish Peter Doocy would ask Peppermint Patty what Brandon is going to do to fix the supply chain issue with ammo.
She would be like

The price of natural gas was almost double in 2006. Was fertilizer more expensive then? Ammonia is made from natural gas and nitrogen.
