Me too man. I make plenty of money.
I have an old Tacoma that is great. I see no reason to replace it and have $700-$900 payment.

We are the same. Currently, we have one limited, 2 xles, and 3 hybrid les. They will be gone in the next 2-3 days.

It is crazy. The interest rates are climbing, with no inventory on the lot and we are still selling 150 new cars a month.

I guess I'm cheap. I could afford an expensive vehicle but I'm unwilling to pay for one. I'd rather retire earlier.

that's not cheap, that's smart.

I bought a loaded 2006 Accord w 60K miles for $6,500 late 2019 for my wife's 50 mile trip to work. We've driven it all over the place, now has 170K miles and gonna be my youngest sons car.

So I'm carefully looking for a low-mileage Accord (2010-ish) for my wife...gonna be cash.

People can call cheap bc I don't drive a new Denali or King Ranch, but IDGAF.

If that's what defines cheap then just call cheap.

That's fine. I'll sit on the list until 2024 waiting. Eventually they'll find one. Just me alone

I've read that the Tacoma is finally getting a makeover in 2024. Many thought it was going to be 2023. I'm going to wait and see.

I tried to put most of my last car purchase on credit card, like 15k. The dealership told me the most they allow is 4k. Don’t know why?

The manufactured vehicle shortage should be a study in supply chain logistics. Either it's manufactured, incentivized or it's idiocy.

Two weeks in March 2020 and a warehouse fire has apparently crippled an entire industry.

Fully decked out Toyota Tundra is $65,000 new, not $80-100,000.

I’d adjust your vehicle search. I found a low 30,000 miles, 2020 jeep GC for around $37,000 before tax and lisc- I just had to adjust my search and my criteria

I would be careful about certain recent low mileage vehicles and check the mechanical history of all vehicles.

Almost all newer engines are being designed around gas direct injection and/or turbo charged systems that use smaller and fewer cylinders that force the engine to work harder. Manufacturers are doing this to squeeze better MPG ratings. This is causing some of them to prematurely fail. Some may fall under warranty work or recalls.

So be weary of some engine types. Just because it is low mileage recent vehicle doesn’t mean they wanted to trade it in early for a bigger one. They could have wanted to get rid of it because of all the problems they had with it.

As inventories start creeping up and sales start slowing after the backlog of orders catch up with supply and the economy slows, mid to late 2023, maybe a decent time to buy.
