When I added seizures to my list of withdrawal symptoms. I don't drink anymore.

When I stopped drinking like a college student at LSU. Once you stop that for a long period of time and try to tie one on, the next day is like sour milk in hell.

They go out drinking hard? With the intent to get shite faced? That's what I'm referring to. If so, that's pathetic. If it's out for a few beers after work, I'm ok with that, although I don't even do that now.

Get a new username. You definitely are not the King of New Orleans with that attitude.

I can drink like always. The problem is, I do not feel right for 3 days after if I really get into the brown.

My only problem now is I have to stop at three alcohols. Four different ones now and I will get hungover. But that's really it. Bottle of wine, bottle of El Hopadillo Negro IPA and a nasty arse bud light last night and I feel fine.

Got to stick to one type of drink in old age or the hangover is real bad

25 years ago when I left Shreveport with a friend who wasn't drinking. We were heading to a baseball game at the Astrodome. I finished off the second six pack as we arrived at the stadium. Drank continually throughout the game then went clubbing afterwards where I continued to see how many beers I could drink.. I didn't have a normal hangover until two days later. I don't know what you call what I had the next day expect death felt like a good option. Went cold turkey after that and have remained so 25 years this past September.

So my story was the opposite of yours OP. I realized my drinking was out of control and at the time social drinking seemed like a stupid option. This brain of mine is wired to think all or nothing.

I gave up on liquor long ago. I can drink a glass or two of wine with my gf but I prefer beer. I can't drink more than 9 beers now without a hangover.

early 30s is when hangovers got worse...a lot worse. Then late 30s they got unbelieveably bad.

now I just drink less to avoid it.

I only had 2 liquor drinks, 4 beers and 2 glasses of wine and woke up with my stomach churning. Try to hold off the throw up but it came up just now.

I can drink beer all day long and be fine. Liquor isn't working out for me anymore though.

This is absurd and probably sounded better in your head than it did here.
