I hear ya. First of all, I blame Paris Hilton and her little tea-cup dog too.

When the Great "Pandemic" Debacle-Sham of 2020, resetting a society of already baked-out mental and spiritual defectives, it was Lunatic Game On.

Suddenly "Therapy Dogs", other critters and even adult binkies became an acceptable "PTDS" accessory at inappropriate venues everywhere.

Personal preference for me. Too much traffic in a Home Depot. Dog has an easier chance of getting smooshed/hit or in someone’s way.

I bring my dog pretty much everywhere it's allowed other than restaurants and grocery stores. IDGAF.

Home Depot is explicitly dog friendly

Makes sense. Home Depot is full of the things they like to piss on.

Our Golden Retriever loves to come along with us, but never food type places (unless dog friendly outdoor seating) or anywhere else not okay, and always on a short leash. He just hangs out.

You shouldnt need a food type place to tell you that weather its OK or not to take your dog.

Just for the record, it is not OK to take your dog. No matter what the sign says

I am actually glad this pisses you off.

Lighten up Francis. My dog is cleaner than your kid. More polite too.

I was in Houston the other week working and every person there had a dog. It almost looked like an NPC town in a video game.

Keep your dog out of eating establishments and grocery stores and were ok. IDGAF about Home Depot but damn sure don't want a dog around where I'm eating or buying food to eat.

I'll bring my dog to different places, but not inside grocery stores or where food is served, unless it's an outdoor area where she's allowed.

Using common sense is the best plan, but common sense ain't that common.

As long as the pup is friendly I like seeing them in random places. And while I say that, I do agree that public businesses aren't the place for them. And yet, I still great the pup and enjoy petting them if the owner says it's OK.

This. ^^

No grocery stores or inside of restaurants though... but everywhere else, a friendly pup is an absolute joy. Excepting pibbles, of course.

I was at Cowboy Chicken in Carrollton, TX. Some old gray haired panther had her little yip yap dog inside barking and raising a ruckus. The dog was barking, not the gray haired panther.

Awhile back, I saw this hipster looking chick in Rouses with a cat sitting in the kiddie seat of the basket. I feel she was walking around the whole store thinking “Look at me, look at me”.

The one that pisses me off is grocery stores in the carts.
