My wife (no pics) is one of these types. She literally said she wanted a "unique" name. I told her I wasn't have some crazy arse bullshite name that aren't even "unique" anymore. My youngest girl is named Ryanne, pronounced like the guy Ryan. You have no idea how much of a win that name is for me

Scruffy guesses you have to take what you can get.

o be honest it’s better than most of these “career moms”who make barely enough money to cover the costs of child care and their clothes bills.

I don’t see how anyone who could dump their baby off at a childcare place and sleep at night

Is this an honest opinion here or you are trolling?

I know it's rude to ask, but I want to sit down with the parents and ask them what their thought process was when coming up with that name.

My baby niece has a basic, old fashioned name, the problem is that her name is James

Did you ask her why? I don't get this idea.

I've asked her many times. She has no real answer other than she likes unique names. I'm pretty sure she sees all her friend's kids stupid names on Facebook and wants to mimic them. I think it's some millennial mindset. who knows.

God there is one I want to post so bad but she went to LSU recently and I just don't trust that somehow someone she knows won't see it . I did also work with a woman and she introduced her son one day at the office for the first time and his name was Blaze. Like come on y'all.

There's a smart way to do it.

You use a good family name for the first name, then go nuts with the middle name.

Edward Cayden Smith

Then you can call your kid Cayden as long as you want, but as soon as he decides he wants to enter the workforce, he can start going by Ed on his resume`.

Scruffy refuses all names for 1st or middle names that involve any variation of “-ayden”.

I don't get parents who name their kid something and call them by a complete other name. "Hi, this is our son Michael James Smith, we call him Jack". Why not just fricking name him Jack?

What none of these people seem to understand is that they are picking a name that they think is cute for a toddler, but is going to be stuck with this poor kid for life. Who the hell is going to make someone named Jon-Braden a supervisor?

Exactly. Calling a kid by his middle name is setting the kid up to have to say 'sorry, but I like to be called...' for the rest of his life.

Don't do it parents!

I literally throw resumes in the trash when I see a "unique" name.

It's a great timesaver.

Parents don’t realize how they are hamstringing their children by naming them stupid names.

Scruffy prejudges the hell out of the unique names. Automatically just considers them white trash.
