I have a friend who named his kid Valor. I actually kind of like it. This is a pure example of this thread. Such a "try hard" name by the parents. Cool name for a dog.
Ha! His brother is named Barron.

I know a woman that named her son Maverick. My wife had to had to elbow me in the ribs to stop me from asking her if she was planning on naming their 2nd child Goose.

Naw man, but heard it at the dog park. Didn’t know if a kid or a dog would respond. A pit with a head bigger basketball responded. I could tell it had “the thirst” too.
So in this scenario, they didn’t name their child like a dog. They named their dog like a dog. Why would you use that as an example as it’s the exact counter point to your OP?

girl is named Ryanne, pronounced like the guy Ryan. You have no idea how much of a win that name is for me
She'll probaly get tired of people saying "Ry-anne" she'll end up going with it.
Unisex names are horrible. Why would a person want to date someone with the same name? Unless dey gey of course. But I digress....it's odd. I have a name that has a female counterpart ie Daniel/Danielle, and I wouldnt be able to go by "Danny," and date a girl that goes by "Dani."
