Memphis could make a fricking mint if they would police their interstates better for that shite.

And I'm not talking about BS speed traps. The road is full of dangerous careless and reckless drivers. Aggressive speeders, light running, tailgating etc.
See it every day on the interstate.
A while back, a car sped by me to run a red light and not a few seconds later, a state trooper pulled along side of me. He made zero effort to chase down the red light runner who I’m certain he saw.

they had a seat belt trap by city park in baton rouge last week
instead of worrying about that why not pull over the chargers that are going 100+ on the interstate

Have you been under a rock for the last decade?

No cop is gonna put his arse on the line for some stupid traffic ticket. They are gonna get through the day. Clock out and hopefully retire after 20 years or ride a desk.
This predates St Floyd. This really started around 2016

Let me guess, almost all of them are driving F-250s?
A few, a lot of poors too. Its not even a race, sex, age thing either. Theyre usually doing 30+ MPH over the posted limit and get all bent out of shape you wont but dont have the nuts to pass so theyll ride your arse. I would kill to be able to work one over with a piece of rubber hose. Always the Texas idiots

I’d be happy if they’d just ticket people blocking intersections.

I’m amazed at how many cars don’t have license plates.

Depends where you are. Many haven’t given up. In places like New Orleans they just don’t have the manpower.

My dream is to have a 10 gauge 3.5" buckshot belt fed machine gun in the truck bed where I could hit a button and the tailgate drops and dump a few hundred rounds in their windshield.

light running,
I’ve been pulled over twice in the last 6 mos for running lights. White privilege kept me out of any tickets

Corner of Versailles and Blue Bird?

They've given up on so much shite. The dregs of society don't pay tickets, which means the police don't get their cut, which means they don't care. The rich get out of shite, the dregs just float along, and the middle/upper middle get punished.
Posted on 6/3/25 at 1:01 pm to Strannix
If they wrote the same amount of careless operation tickets for slow drivers/ lane campers as they do for fast drivers/ weavers it would help greatly.

Once they added the cameras to their cars that alerts them to warrants. Now it does the work for them

There really needs to be a crackdown on our streets over the more egregious stuff.
(And I second the comment about ticketing everybody who blocks an intersection when their turn arrow turns red. Do this starting today! Perkins/Bluebonnet light. Siegen/I-10 exit too!)

When their salaries stopped depending on ticket revenue. It's why you have all manner of people Sunday driving in the passing lane.

Why frick with speeding tickets when you can camp out at bars, pull someone over for not using their blinker then proceed to get paid big time for overtime regarding DWI’s.

I know several BRPD guys that are currently doing this.
