Prestige brands have always cost as much as people will pay. I have a Bosch that I got for around $1,200 that kicks arse.

shite my Thermador was good bit more than that a few years ago. I remember looking at other brands and they were 5k or more also.

Better off getting an electric range for resale value. In about 5 years buyers will insist you replace the gas with electric.

We're in the market currently, as well. Pretty much screwed, as our range is in our kitchen island, and is a downdraft

Keeping up with the Jonses ain’t cheap. If you’re gonna bitch, you can’t afford it. Your maw maw didn’t need a 36” dual fuel stainless professional range. And you don’t either.

Btw, get a blue star open burner. Show them bitches who’s boss.

In my world, we got an GE gas stove from Lowes about 6 years ago that cost less than 2 grand. Four burners with the griddle in the middle. I wanted a gas stove with no electricity whatsoever, but my wife won that battle. Move that griddle over on top of the real burners and your good to go, just make sure you have a good vent hood.

Get on marketplace, I just saw a 36" KitchenAid with downdraft built in for cheap the other day. Someone in baton rouge was remodeling.

I drove to Houston to pick up a KitchenAid wall oven and gas cooktop for $800 when I put the house back together after the flood. They were practically brand new.

I have a zline 30 I bought at Home Depot for 1700 4 years ago. It’s nice and cost 2100 at Home Depot now.

If redoing the kitchen, get a 36” gas range (not dual fuel). Regular wolf gas range is 7k, dual fuel is 12k. Get a generic hood that vents outside. Doesn’t have to be a fancy brand as long as it moves air. Get a microwave and electric oven built into the wall of cabinets. Probably would come out cheaper and more convenient with two ovens for holidays/family gatherings

We have a Cove now (back to OT baller status)

That certainly is a lot of money to spend for an inferior dishwasher.

Bosch is better and would have been half the price.

Doing long deferred kitchen reno. Wife likes a Kitchen Aid 36” dual fuel that is a little over $7k. The matching hood is another $1400. That’s modest compared to some other brands. Comparable Jenn Air is $9k. Thermador $10k. Viking, don’t ask.

I could get a brand I’ve never heard of from Lowe’s for around 4k, but whatever.

Thanks Obama.

Especially considering there is literally nothing to a "Range". I'm certain one can be made pretty easily.
