The inspection sticker racket and how it helps city cops meet quotas needs to come to an end.

I'd be for it, if the people with blacked out windows and loud pipes were required to remove them. Call me "big government" but i believe our local trash needs to be regulated.

You think we need inspection stickers to regulate those things?

Is that not the stated purpose? If your windows are too dark, your inspection sticker is not renewed. If you're exhaust is too loud, the same. Granted there are places that ignore this if you know where to go.

The police can just give tickets to the window tint offenders. And we can just shoot the guys with loud exhaust on sight as far as I'm concerned.

We're never getting rid of this. Every year someone in the legislature brings it up and every year nothing happens.

“Modified exhaust” is technically against the law in Louisiana.

I completely understand the loud pipes as that is a public nuisance but who gives a shite about tinted windows? It has zero effect on you.

I'd love to get rid of that tax but I would love to see cops busting these idiots with the squatted shitboxes that shine their headlights directly into my eyes!!

The cops will give you the same BS that it's for their safety because they can't see in the car. Yet, they will also often require you to roll down your windows or step out of the vehicle if they feel unsafe.
Regarding the everyday citizen, who cares. I actually wish I blacked out mine, but I went the safe route because my daily commute takes me right past a monthly seat belt/inspection sticker stakeout spot.

Just stop getting them
Its been 20 years since I’ve had one on any of my vehicles
Cops don’t care
I have been pulled over in Orleans Parish, Jefferson Parish, and on the Causeway in the last 20 years with NO STICKER and not even ONCE was it mentioned

What kind of neighborhoods do yall live in where loud exhaust would be a nuisance? For the window tint, it should be illegal to have no tint on your windows in Louisiana. It’s hot out here.

As long as the feds are on ebr and 5 or 6 other parishes asses about emmissions, you will always have some sort of inspection sticker in those parishes even though the plants are to blame for most of the issues.... ok it's 5 parishes
Ascension.
East Baton Rouge.
Iberville.
Livingston.
West Baton Rouge.

I'm pretty sure this issue got raised in the last legislative session and the governor wanted to get rid of it but they have to see how much revenue needs to be replaced to fund whatever the hell it funds

Modified loud arse exhaust is the absolute trashiest thing a person can do. It's worse than fricking your sister and getting her name tattooed on your dick. And this is the guy who started a thread whining about having to walk 4 blocks to buy cigarettes yesterday. You're worse than redneck sister-frickers who leave their shopping carts in the parking lot and turn left on Nicholson during rush hour. You're worse than the guy who tied the dog up during hurrican in Florida.
Also I hate you and your existence is disgusting. You are a waste of precious oxygen.

They don’t comply and just drive without. And we keep paying the road tax.
