Definitely not a beach landing during WW2.
I’d be tempted to go watch D-Day. That’s the only battle I’d say that about.

If I was invulnerable, like a ghost, I’d go check out Hiroshima.

and a week in any small town Americana in 1957
I kind of would like to see any small town in the deep south in the 1st half of the 20th century to see the relationship between the races first hand.

I would like to go back to my hometown and see if it was as vibrant as it seemed when I was 6. It is a dump now, want to see if it was better then or if I was easier to impress.
I want to get my kicks on route 66 in the 50's.
I want to go to height asbury in the 60s and laugh at those pricks knowing the totalitarian assholes they have become.
I want to see the molasses flood whenever it happened.
I want to see a run of the mill week for Stan Musial to compare to current guys.

One of these weekends:
quote:
On the last day of summer vacation in 1962, friends Curt, Steve and John cruise the streets of small-town California while a mysterious disc jockey spins classic rock'n'roll tunes. It's the last night before their grown-up lives begin, and Steve's high-school sweetheart, a hot-to-trot blonde, a bratty adolescent and a disappearing angel in a Thunderbird provide all the excitement they can handle.

I could take being a passenger in Enola Gay looking out the window, but I wouldn’t want to be close enough to watch them vaporized even if I was invincible.

Interesting. How do you think it would go?

Plumbing and bathing were not frequent in Paris during WWII

I’d love to see the birth of Jesus.
Sorry - to clarify - my religion believes our Lord and Savior was birthed through the remaining brain tissue that was left over from the JFK assassination.
Essentially, Jesus was born in Texas. So basically we believe the same thing most Texas Christians do.

I would like to be able to go back to early Oct. of 1929 and convince my great grandparents to clean out the bank accounts, liquidate everything but their homes, and turn it all into a big pile of cash.
Their future, and mine, would have been more comfortable.

I would like to go back further to the 1860-90's.

Yes, I would tell Jefferson Parish officials to not allow permits to build all those stinking apartments that turned section 8 after Katrina..

The Fenn Treasure is a treasure reportedly worth over a million dollars supposedly hidden by art dealer and author Forrest Fenn in the Rocky Mountains.
I'd go back and watch where this guy buried this treasure.

Just finished watching Band of Brothers, as gruesome as WW2 was, I can't imagine the excitement and spirit of defeating the Nazis.
