Ordered a cookbook in January 2000. Back when Amazon focused only on books.

Oldest order I can find is a CO2 alarm in 2009. We averaged less than one purchase a month until 2016/2017, then we went crazy.

2007 a book
The road less traveled - in fact most of my first orders were books

2005
I still have it.
Never sold a single college book that wasn't a textbook.
Eta: technically this is the second Amazon account I do not actually have access to the first.
If you want to see something extremely disheartening drop all of your purchases into Excel file and then total it up...

In June 2004 the great British Gardener Graham Stewart Thomas had just passed and he had written books that I wanted and expected the prices to soar with his death.
Instead the prices dropped significantly and I used Amazon to fill out the GST part of my library. (Five books at once!)

Why the hell would I remember my first Amazon order?

It was protein powder in 2011. I started going through my orders, I didn’t order anything in 2017 and 18. Averaged about 7 orders a year, kinda proud of myself.
