Donate to Ukraine as troops as opposed to sending our tax dollars

Fund churches to help them. Way better than the way govt tries to "help".

What’s your solution for the homeless?

Every city has blocks and blocks of abandoned homes. Bulldoze them and set up military tents to create homeless villages. Centralize them and send in mental health professionals, social workers, etc that they need to get back on their feet. The ones that can’t get back on their feet put them on a boat and let Cuba and their great communist paradise take care of them.

1. First step, secure our border. Many homeless are illegal immigrants. I get that many are hard working and looking for a better life but they need to come here legally with planned job opportunities.

2. Work camps. Homeless people need to be working for benefits. Establish work camps with temporary housing and require work for food and shelter. Provide training in the work camps in skills that are in demand.

3. Those who can't work due to physical and/or mental disabilities should be removed to separate medical facilities if they are U.S. citizens with the goal of healing and eventual self-reliance. Those who are not citizens must go back to the country of origin.

We actually have multiple issues involving homelessness.

1. Fake homeless at intersections who get dropped off who are making a living off of stupid people giving them money

2. Both fake and real homeless people who are on drugs not only soliciting money for drugs but also committing crimes

3. Actual homeless people not getting help they need or not trying to better themselves

1 and 2 are not being dealt with by law enforcement which I believe is impacting 3 for sure. Until the fake people are arrested and forced out it is impossible to know how many actual people are needing true help

I’ve worked with the homeless before. I would bet at least 50% of them are not rehabilitatable.

Well definitely not jump them with a skate board. I can jump 3, maybe 4, but certainly not all of them.

Many who are homeless are self medicating with mental issues. Jimmy Carter passed the best mental health bill in the history of the USofA and Ronnie killed it when he got in office. To add insult to injury Ronnie signed the laws to close the long term locked care facilitates that treated the population that needed it and converted to mental health care by police. Not only does it not work, but it also costs about 8 x of the old long term locked facilities.

Hey, we privatized jail / prison under Ronnie and they had to fill the beds some way.

the closings started long before Ronnie, in the 50s. Additionally several court decisions played into making it very hard to involuntarily committee someone.

Charter cruise ships with pallets of fentanyl and offer one-way drug fueled cruises to an island somewhere far away. Bring back empty ships and repeat. Let God take the wheel.

Bring back insane asylums

This is in fact the answer. The horror stories at a few facilities ruined this whole process. Involuntary commitments are the answer, more facilities to commit individuals, less playing on emotion and more on actual wise decisions. It wont happen with social media though.

It's a harsh but absolutely true fact that some people belong locked away for the betterment of us all (and also them) even if they have not yet committed a crime.

This is about the only solution. I've worked with the homeless, what many folks fail to realize is that a fair number are voluntarily homeless. They have SS disability or VA and live on streets for easier access to drugs, alcohol and secks (and they don't want to confirm to society). Also soup kitchens/feeding stations need to be stopped immediately. If someone wants to feed the needy, it needs to be done directly in their community. "Do gooders" coming in from the burbs and feeding homeless in the bad parts of the city make the problem worse.

Realized this said homeless and not govt welfare. Whoops. Asylums for the mentally ill. Work programs for the not.

They understand it with animals, but classical conditioning works on humans just as well.

Bringing back long term mental health institutions. And more affordable drug treatment facilities (that aren’t just Medicaid based).
