This sounds like a Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm script inspiration...
For me though it's spin and tie, then when the wire or plastic clip gets lost do the easy loop knot. 1 of the 2 of us in the house doesn't do either, and I am the only one that knows how to take the old TP tube off and put a new roll on, or close a cabinet door.

Twist, fold, clip. I use binder clips for everything... Chips, bread, cable management, hanging items in a tent, etc.

I kinda "hug" it to get the air out then spin. Put the tie back on until half way gone or lost by the rest of the household who doesn't gaf. I'm the only organized, neat, ocd'er in this place unfortunately. All for not......
