Got my first JD last year. I’m 44 and hoping it’s the last mower I ever have to buy

I may have been a few whiskeys in when I started this topic….

Some great brands so far.

Seiko manual watches - There are better out there but for the price point these are hard to beat.

Case knives
Orvis polo shirts
Honda mowers, generators, etc.

I was in the market for a second random orbital sander so I gave Mafell a look. I already knew Festool and Mirca products were expensive.

Mafell EVA 150E Random Orbital Sander is $690.00.

Mirca 5" is right at $600.00

Festool 150 random orbit sander is just over $400.00

Dewalt is 66 bucks and have been using the hell out of mine for years. Not saying it is better but I can buy a bunch of them and not worry about dropping it or it getting stolen.

Toyota Tacoma (had first one ‘05-21)
Custom Cowboy boots
Expensive dress shoes
Patagonia shirts/jackets
Big Agnes tent
Tempurpedic mattress

Basic philosophy is you spend 1/3 of your life in the bed, 1/3 of it at work (in my case wearing dress shoes and standing) and of the remaining portions of time, I spend the next most time driving.

How about listing watches, pocket knives, maybe outerwear?

Dickie's socks and pocket tshirts - the shirts are cheap but they're durable. If they rip while I'm at work, oh well - $12 down the drain.

I don’t think that would qualify as a “buy it for life” item.

Anything Snap-On, mostly because of their warranty. If it does manage to breaks, they replace it, no matter the age of the tool.
