Maui Jim prescription shades
Levi's jeans (yeah i know, boycott and rabble rabble)
Thorogood work boots - These ain't cheap at all but damn they're comfortable and last a very long time.
Dickie's socks and pocket tshirts - the shirts are cheap but they're durable. If they rip while I'm at work, oh well - $12 down the drain.
Community coffee dark roast - just simply my favorite and I've tried a lot of coffee all over this country.
Ford F150s - I'm on my third in my life and I doubt I ever change, I just wish I could get my 92 F150 with the straight 6 motor, double fuel tanks, and extended bed back. That thing was a beast.

A house maybe?

I don't know what else you would really buy for life.

90% of my consumer good purchases are high or very high quality examples but nobody has my long-term allegiance. Quality and CS does not stay the same a lot of the time so I am constantly researching new products.

As an example take handheld power tools. Over the last 15 years I have bought nothing but Festool, Mafell, Hilti, Surf Prep, Mirka, and a couple of European-built Bosch tools (and I buy a LOT of tools). This was precipitated by Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Makita losing the plot on most of their tool line. My allegiance to a manufacturer only extends to what have you done for me lately.

What I buy today may not be what I buy tomorrow.

I just realized a couple of weeks ago that I've had the same microwave for over 20 years now. And with 2 kids aged 9 and 7, that thing sees pretty heavy use between reheating leftovers and quick things like chicken nuggets every now and then.

Furniture! Hancock and Moore cost a LOT of money but something like a full grain leather hide couch from them will last WAY longer than any crap you find at a typical furniture store.

Other things that come to mind.

Dillon reloading equipment
Weber grills
Whiteside router bits

Do you mean their Zyklop rachets or their Joker ratcheting combo wrenches? I love both and won't use anything else including their screwdrivers and driver bits and attachments.

The best along with Southeast Tool. Freud where they have Quadra cut in the profile is also excellent. They give twice the knife marks per inch at the same feed rate as 2 wing tooling.

Freeborn is the defacto choice for shaper tooling though there are plenty of Euro options that are just as good and offer more insert tooling options.

Yes, the ratchets. My son next door has the combo wrenches. I would love a set but would not use them enough to justify spending the money. Plus I can just borrow his.
