I say traffic and this is why. It has a bigger impact on a lot more people on a regular basis.

Thoughts?

Criminals are worse than traffic, any other questions?

I probably would’ve said traffic before the IHOP shooting on Seigen

But I think crime and traffic may be neck and neck in affecting people now

Better chance of being shot than dying in a car accident if you take race out of the equation.

The IHOP shooting was targeted right? If so, that doesn't make it as bad than it would if it was a random shooting. Just something to consider in making your decision.

Until recently, I’d say traffic, but the crime has been spilling over into really nice neighborhoods more frequently lately.

What if you are shot sitting in traffic?

Your chances of becoming a victim of violent crime in BR is exponentially higher than practically anywhere else in the United States.

Well when the cops come to your house and neighborhood for 3-4 days after the targeted shooting happens - it does affect other people

That’s an interesting question, because you could loosely make assumptions on how crime also impacts a lot of people in Baton Rouge directly and indirectly. I’m curious to see the responses.

I've never been affected by crime, so I'm going with traffic

I don't know, but I'd bet my house that traffic causes some of the crime. I've been driving a lot more than normal lately and in some of the bigger cities I've been in over the past 6 months I've wanted to kill everyone in a 100 yard radius over their lack of common sense when it comes to operating a vehicle on public roads.

Holy shite there is a large percentage of drivers on the road who probably shouldn't have a license. I'd bet half couldn't pass a written exam on the first try.

Well to be fair the surface streets in BR are not that bad….UNTIL that stupid I-10 and I-12 come into play. The crime is bad but it seems like it’s a bunch of thugs taking each other out and that doesn’t bother me……

traffic impacts me more. crime is still very much a growing problem, but lets not act like a high percentage of residents are victims of a crime daily. Less than 5% I would be on a daily basis. We bitch about blacks encroaching below florida blvd. but what about the creatures than commute from denham, walker, gonzales and pville daily causing traffic.
