What's the difference between a BMW and a porcupine?
A porcupine has the pricks on the outside

Luxury is as overused as gourmet.
Really wealthy people sit in stop and go traffic right?

They are extremely unreliable after the first few years of ownership, and are expensive as hell to repair and get parts for. This results in an absurd cost of ownership, which is why you can pick up used BMW’s and Audis in really good shape for a cheap purchase price. You pay in other ways.
That’s why new Beemers are typically leased rather than purchased.

The only continual problems I hear are with the tire pressure sensors. Let's not act like other luxury makes have no issues

Lexus, Lincoln, Cadillac, and Acura are all far cheaper to repair on average, though some are more reliable than others.

I hear you have a brake job every 20K miles and it ain’t cheap.

- Built like shite: check
- Driven by assholes (backed up by statistics): check
- Ugly: subjective, but…check
- Expensive to buy: check
- Expensive to own: check
- Reliance on turbos instead of building a single NA engine: check
Gee, I wonder

They are great if you plan on getting a new one every two years. They don’t last long after 2 years

You’re 100% right. ‘22 X6 here. Jealousy is a stinky cologne.

I love BMW's.
But I'd never own one because I'm too cheap to pay for the maintenance on one.
