Before a few weeks ago I would notice one every so often, but now I see people at several different intersections on a regular basis. Can we ship them back to BR?

It's really bad downtown too. I think it's the opioid issue.

If you were in Alexandria this morning, you'd be able to get from one side of town to the other.

No worries, they're probably just making their way to Lafayette.

This makes no sense. It's the best city in the best state in the best country on the best continent on the best planet.

Wait, Paul Allen. Never mind, makes perfect sense.

Alexandria really is the perfect town. Good climate, scenic views, great infrastructure. It has everything

Don't know for sure if this is related but I remember reading that a good bit of Houston evacuees were bused to Alexandria during last year's flood. Could be some of those.

In looking for pictures of Alexandria I found this picture of the Egyptian one. Not sure if cool or DAF.

There really has been a large increase in homeless people out waiting at street corners. For a long time it’s been the same two or three but now every corner seems to have a guy with a sign or dog. The hospitals are really bad, Rapides Regional especially. Doesn’t help Salvation Army is two blocks over. Surprised the cops have allowed it so much.

I was working on a pipeline project and our base of operations was Springfield, MO. That town must be the homeless capital of the United States as they are everywhere. Every main street intersection has 2 or 3 begging. You will see at least 20 people at all times around town walking around aimlessly. I felt really bad for them because it got nasty cold up there this past Winter.

They come in dining chains on the main roads to get out of the weather and beg for meals but the managers try to get them out quickly before patrons buy them food since that makes it impossible to get them to leave once they get a token soda or plate of fries. It is sad and like you said, the cops don't do much. They are after speeders and DWI's. Arresting bums doesn't bring money to the city.
