I would say Mississippi is a slightly more pleasant state than Louisiana, especially the gulf coast of Mississippi. But outside of Biloxi and a little bit of fishing Mississippi is a boring arse state.

Alabama has by far the best economy, but is very bland. Louisiana has the strongest culture. I'd say rural MS is the worst.

Alabama is actually very nice and has a much better economy than Louisiana and Mississippi. I'd say Louisiana and Mississippi are tied and Alabama is wayyyy better than both. I say this as a Louisianan.
I agree with this as a Mississippian.
Better economy, mountains, beaches, great golf throughout the state, etc. HWY 82 between Tuscaloosa and the MS line sucks dick though.

Alabama is no where near as bad as the other two. Alabama is underrated if anything.
In general, I'd say there are a few more nicer areas in Alabama than Mississippi. However, Alabama has a ton of trashy and depressing 3rd world no mans land too.
Louisiana isn't really nicer but, especially with New Orleans, it's certainly a lot more interesting.
For example, I'd never really recommend to friends on vacation anywhere but there.

Yeah man fried seafood and drive bys!
Way better than that "bland" Alabama culture.
Louisiana is a shite hole. The food is easily replicated so that isn't in the equation for me. Fishing may be the only thing Louisiana has going for it over the other 2.

Lived in both La and MS, never Bama. LA and MS are basically the exact same. Only big difference is La has much better food. Other than that it’s all the same shite. I’m sure for most places in Bama that’s the same as well.

Alabama is generally a pretty nice place outside of the Black Belt - more akin to Georgia or Tennessee than Mississippi.

Mississippi is boring, but much of Louisiana is lowland and swamp. Aside from the delta which is stark and flat, 80% of Mississippi is beautiful rolling hills with the pine belt and the tip is breaking into a mountainous feel. New Orleans is the only thing that makes it objectively close and there is plenty wrong with New Orleans. Alabama is completely out of the discussion because its a very beautiful state with decent metro areas.

MS Coast is nice. Rest is not so great. Louisiana seems trashy, but have only experienced the southern part of the state. Jury is out on Alabama for me.

I'm giving Alabama credit for being the best of the three. Practically speaking, it's not even close.
Louisiana does have a strong identity/culture, whether we like the culture or not.

Agree if you extend "Black Belt" all the way down to the Florida line.
I have a lot of family in south Alabama and once you drive north out of the Fairhope area it's about like that Bay Minette ice cream shop video posted here a few days ago until you're past Montgomery.
I have a fond attachment to the area but "nice" is about the last adjective that comes to mind.

Having lived in all 3 - the best parts of Mississippi are better than the best parts of Louisiana, but the worst parts of Mississippi are worse than the worst parts of Louisiana.
Alabama is the best overall of the 3.

it's the deep south buddy. Venture outside of any medium-sized city and you're going to get podunk deliverance-style folk regardless of what state you're in.

Alabama is DEFINITELY the worst of the three. Super inhospitable to outsiders too. I would DEFINITELY never move here.

Never in my life have I read a sentence even close to this.. I hope this is satire. It is incredibly clear that you have not spent much time anywhere in Louisiana. Rayville has so much more to offer than places like Grand Isle
Keep your disgusting incestual ways in bama, pal.

Louisiana is now the worst in every measurable way, including education.
